I have a suggestion for a lame ska band on the LMA:

Moniska Lewinsky and the Clintones.

We are definitely not be the best band in the world but we are probably the only historical ska band in the world. And, even though there is a lot of chatter and some off-key singing, we try hard and not every song sucks. ("Pompeii Ruined My Day" and "Bomb Shelter" seem to go over well. "On the Other Side" might work too.)

It's just guitar and sax (the December 27th show also has a djembe) but we left an e-mail so you can express your disappointment if you download a show and wish there were more horns (and/or talent).

Thanks for checkin' us out if you do.

so are all of our songs."

Hey, I'm from the band the Miasmics. We're a ska/reggae/funk/rock/jammy band and we're also up here on archive. Please check us out I really hope you enjoy what you hear. It's my opinion that you shouldn't download our acoustic set first because that'll give you the wrong idea about us. Download the birchill show (that's the smallest I think) and go from there. Thanks! Our site is www.miasmics.com
and you can download our stuff at http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-searchresults.php?searchAll=yes&collection=etree&submit=main&search=miasmics&limit=100&start=0

The Hang Lows are a current ska/punk/funk outfit home based in Pittsburgh. We allow live recordings of our shows and would love to have them part of the Archive.

Please check out studio recordings too at

Deals Gone Bad
Voodoo Glow Skulls
Dirty Heads
B Foundation
Hepcat
Skatalites
Jimmy Cliff
the Wailers
etc etc

Keep ska alive!

Not sure how good they are, but I know that Ruder Than You is in the Archive and they're a Ska band. I think I knew of another one too, but I forget...

Ruder Than You is awesome, and I'm not just saying that because the drummer used to be my boss.

There is a list of bands with no shows yet. It'd be cool if we could thank these bands for permitting us to archive their shows by having some uploaded.
